Easy Hat Pattern
Here is a really easy ribbed hat pattern. It's quick and easy and doesn't call for double pointed needles !!! It's called the Warm Ribbed Winter Hat. I am in the processing of making it now. It has not been too intimidating so far.

I agree, this is a really good beginners pattern. It can always be spiffed up with a novelty yarn.
